OSHA requires learners to spend a minimum amount of time in each OSHA course. If you see a minimum time warning, it means you completed part of the course faster than the estimated time for that section.
Why did I receive this warning?
The warning appears when a training module is completed faster than the estimated time for that module. Seeing the warning does not automatically invalidate your course, but it is important to continue at a natural pace.
What are the OSHA time requirements?
- OSHA 10 courses require at least 10 hours of training time.
- OSHA 30 courses require at least 30 hours of training time.
What happens if I finish too quickly?
If you complete the course in less than the required minimum time, your completion may be invalid. In that case, you would need to start a new course from the beginning to earn your OSHA card.
What should I do?
Continue the course at a normal pace. To help avoid additional warnings, wait a few seconds after the narration stops before moving to the next slide. Most learners meet or exceed the required course time when they progress naturally through the training.
