End User Screens

Each system is configured for the needs of an individual client, so screens, section names, and available pages may look different from one system to another. The descriptions below explain the End User screens that are commonly available when both the Learning Management and Performance Management modules are installed.

End User screens are grouped into six main areas: My Home, My Learning, My History, My Team, Reports, and Other Possible Screens.

My Home

The Home Screen is typically the first screen users see when they access the system. Announcements and widgets can be customized, and different Home pages can be created for specific audiences if needed.

Disable pop-up blockers so training courses can launch from the Home Screen.

My Learning

• Learning Plan (or Development Plan): This page shows the resources a user needs to complete. The Learning Plan is usually divided into Required and Elective sections. It may also include sections for Outside Learning and Level 1 Course Evaluations.

Note

When viewing an inactive user’s Learning Plan, you will see how the plan would appear if the user became active again today.

Inactive users are not included in required audiences and will not receive notifications for required learning. However, courses assigned through audiences the user previously belonged to may still appear on the inactive user’s Learning Plan. If the user becomes active again, those courses will remain assigned and may be past due depending on the expiration settings for each learning resource.

• Class Calendar: This calendar shows when instructor-led classes are scheduled. Users can enroll directly from the calendar. Classes can also be mapped so users only see classes and locations that apply to them.
• Course Catalog: The Course Catalog lists courses that users are allowed to add to their Learning Plan. The catalog can be mapped so users only see courses that apply to them.

My History

• Learning History: Users can open this page to view a list of completed resources.

My Team

This area is available to users who have at least one direct report in the LMS. Users without direct reports will not see this screen.

• My Approvals: Managers use this screen to approve courses that require manager approval.
• My Team: This screen shows managers the users in their reporting chain. Managers can view each user’s Learning Plan, Learning History, Goals, and Talent Profile from this screen. The Dashboard section may include manager-specific widgets, such as a Manager Newsfeed and Required Training status graphs.

Reports

• Report Catalog: Managers typically have access to selected reports in the LMS. This screen lists the reports they can run.
• Report Results: This screen shows results from recently run reports.

• My Messages: Users can view email messages the system sent to them within the past 90 days.
• Other Dashboards/Screens: The LMS includes many widgets for tracking training and talent initiatives. Custom dashboards can be created as needed.
